Privacy notice
This notice explains how fee3 uses personal information. It is written for the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact hello@fee3.co.uk for privacy questions. The legal entity name and ICO registration number will be added here when the company is registered.
This launch site
fee3 is the controller for the forms on this site. If you ask to be notified, tell us about a car, or send a contact note, we collect the fields you fill in: your name, email, and any car or message details. Netlify hosts the form submission so we can read it. We use it to reply and, if you asked, to email you when the marketplace opens. We do not sell it. You can ask us to delete it.
This launch site does not run analytics and does not set advertising cookies. See the cookie notice.
Who we are
fee3 operates this marketplace. For the data described below, fee3 is the controller.
What the marketplace will collect
When accounts and listings open, we expect to collect:
- Account details: name, email, a password hash, and a phone number if you give one.
- Listing details: the car, the price, the postcode, photos, and the description you write.
- Enquiries and reports you send, and bids on a dealer sale you open.
- If you are invited as a dealer: the dealership name, address, and the stock file you provide.
- Partner leads: only after you tick a consent box. We store the wording you agreed to.
- A record that you followed a partner link, so the introduction can be accounted for. The car price does not change.
Why we use it
We use this information to run your account and your listing (contract), to keep illegal and unsafe listings off the site (legal obligation, including the Online Safety Act), and to show partner introductions you choose to follow (consent). We do not sell your personal information.
Who else sees it
A public listing can be seen by anyone. An enquiry is sent to that seller. A dealer sale is visible to verified dealers, and contact details are shown only to you and the dealer whose bid you accept. A consented lead is kept for the named partner. We use service providers to host the site, store photos, and send email.
How long we keep it
Private listings expire after the period shown when you publish, unless you renew them. Sold dealer stock is removed when it leaves the dealer's stock file. You can ask us to close an account. We keep moderation decisions, reports, and consented leads for as long as we need them to handle a complaint or a partner query.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Photos and registration numbers can identify a car, so think before you publish them.
